Our New Engine 321was delivered on August 3, 2006 and was custom built by KME Fire Apparatus. It is built on a KME Predator Chassis and is powered by a Cummins ISL Engine and an Allison Transmission. It is a six-man cab with five SCBA integrated seats. The rear riding positions are forward facing and have plenty of room for the firefighters and their gear. It is a top mount Hale 1250 GPM pump with a 770 gallon water tank and two 30 gallon foam tanks (Class A & B). Four of the preconnect lines are plumbed to the foam system (two crosslays, front bumper jump line and rear 3" line with a preconnected Akron Apollo Monitor Nozzle. The truck has 100% full height, full depth compartments. It carries a full compliment of equipment including an electric Tempest PPV fan; Cutters Edge Ventilation Chain Saw and a K-12 Circular Ventilation Saw; 3 sets of Personal Floatation Gear for swiftwater rescue situations; an electric Phoenix Hydraulic Pump, 100' Hannay Hydraulic Reel, a Phoneix Model 32 Cutter/Spreader and a Phoenix 14/27 Super Mini Ram and a full compliment of wooden cribbing. It also has a cube refrigerator powered from the shore line or inverter power for full time cold water during rehab at scenes. It also carries a Scott Thermal Imaging Camera, Scott Scout Multi Gas Meter and a vehicle lock-out kit. The cab interior is equipped with a rear view monitor with camera mounted on the back of the truck and a Firecom 3020R Intercom Sysytem is installed with a headset mounted at every riding position. It has an on board Onan 8Kw PTO generator.
